I want to share with you the procedure I normally use:
1- I do a hoit oil treatment before starting to lose the braids in order to prepare my hair for the "trauma". I advice you do it the night before the take down
2- I normally lose by braids gently pulling the braid from the base without losing the braid immediately. This helps me to cut the time I spend in loosing my braids. Some of the braids are still tight so I us the normal procedure to lose them
3- after pulling/losing the single braid I now finger detangle the lock of hair making sure is well detangle. I suggest you avoid using combs during this stage to avoid a massive hair loss.
4- After losing 6 or 7 braids and finger detangle then I then twist them and move on to the next braid.
With this procedure by the time you have finished losing your hair is already finger detangled and divided into sections ready to be washed!
You can view how I do this procedure on you tube ( EXPLANATION in ITALIAN)
what procedure do you use? Do you have any suggestions?
